Step 3: When you need to cover your tracks

A damaged lower track can also give your door a rough ride. There’s a quick and easy alternative to replacing the track—a retrofitted track cover that you simply snap in place over the damaged original.
If you can’t find track parts locally, try an online retailer, such as Metro Supply. Track-repair hardware typically comes over-long; use a hacksaw to cut it to the length you need.
