Suze Katz on Somethings Cozy updates old tea sets and tableware by laquering them in bright colours. What a fantastic, modern way to upcycle!
Anyone who has had a baby knows that you can’t go it alone. Even the most capable mom needs a little help along the way. I’ve been lucky enough to have the amazing assistance of Jessica Cherniak of 4th Trimester doula services. She and I got along right off the bat when we found that we share a key personality trait: We are both passionate cottagers. She splits her time between two very different retreats, a classic Stoney Lake island cottage and a super-rustic hideaway on Lake Panache. So she was keen to help me when I asked her for some non-baby assistance—to head to last month’s Cottage Life Show to suss out some stylish products. Herewith, her stylish picks. Thanks for the scouting Jessica!

These wine glasses are made by artist Jane Bingham at Bingham pottery. Jane says that dragonflies are her bread and butter, with these charming cups flying off the shelves all weekend.

A rustic wood seat from Zenporium. I like this because it has a more natural look than a typical Muskoka or Adirondack chair.
