Use a wool blanket to make a curtain
Here’s a great idea that has cottage written all over it. I was cruising around on ReadyMade today when I came across this cool curtain project:
Neat-o, wouldn’t you say? And perfect for a cottage. Not only does it look cool and rustic, it’s great for insulating against drafts. This curtain is the brainchild of Matt Pierce, the man behind Portland, Oregon-based DIY woodworking and design blog Wood&Faulk. I love pretty much everything Matt makes, including these canvas and leather bags, this leather sling chair, and these simple shop aprons. (The bags and aprons are available for sale here.) Matt, would you like to come to my cottage for a weekend and whip up a few projects for me?
