Giant-pumpkin boat regatta

A twitter post from @cpsboat with a link to this video reminded me that two years ago I, too,  was sitting in a giant floating pumpkin shell, having watched the festivities in Windsor, Nova Scotia, which is, not surprisingly, called the land of giant pumpkins.

Those boats are smaller than you think! I blogged about them at the time. Makes you wonder how Peter kept his wife in a pumpkin shell. Did anyone else learn that nursery rhyme as a child?
