Official start of summer
May two-four – the first official weekend of summer in my books, even though I’m not at the cottage. We open up next weekend. How about you?

In eastern Ontario its May Day, the first weekend in May. By then all the salt is off the roads too and cars and bikes come out of winter storage. Freezing pipes are a concern till the 2nd weekend in May and a bucket to flush the toilet and fill the sink is needed untill then.
