Crate and Barrel delivery to cottage country
I just learned today that Crate and Barrel, the popular American home furnishings and accessories store that recently expanded into Canada, is offering Saturday delivery to Muskoka and the Kawarthas starting this summer. They have some beautiful investment pieces (aka, a touch pricer) and are worth checking out if you’re going that route with your decor. You can select what you’d like online, call their Toronto location, and then just wait at your dock for the truck to arrive. Delivery starts at $89 and includes assembly if required.
On a related note, Crate and Barrel has a sister store, CB2, with fabulous items at a lower priced point. I visited one of their stores in New York City last year and fell in love with the stuff, especially their glassware. This line is a little younger (for lack of a better term) and with a more whimsical sensibility than the classic pieces at C&B. CB2 is opening up a store in Toronto sometime next year, right at the corner of Queen and Bathurst, so Toronto-area cottagers take note.
